Pietro Frosini and the accordion

Couldn't resist buying this early Mazzini accordion. The accordion and its derivatives (melodeons, concertinas) have played on the street since their invention in Germany around 1820.
And its a safe assumption that the great vaudeville accordionist Sicilian Pietro Frosini (1885 - 1951) busked in San Francisco before being spotted by a talent scout. Frosini had emigrated to San Fran in 1095 and played the button accordion. (Believing audiences expected to see him play the more fashionable keyboard accordion, he hid his buttons under a dummy set of keys).
I won't be taking this one in to the street, but hope to while away the evenings in its company.
